That Time Of The Month

Like many other women, I am so sick of tampon and sanitary pad advertisements that I decided to rant about it. The ads make it appear as if we can conquer the world during that time of the month. I don’t know about others, but I can hardly get out of bed to go to work. This is how it really is:

Many of us are in pain, feel drained of energy and get irritated all the time.

I know some women who have it so bad that they have to stay in their bed all day long.

I know some friends who cannot bear the pain that they need to rely on pain killers. A few even have to take injections just to go about with their lives on those days.

Not to mention the dreaded PMS. You get upset for no apparent reason. You get angry at the slightest provocation. You feel all sorts of intense emotions.

If you thought it was a 3-5 days annoyance, let me assure you that the entire cycle sucks.

End of rant!

PS. If you didn’t know about Sarah’s scribbles, I suggest you check out her site. Her sketches are awesome.

Truly agonizing! One of the many natural supremacy of woman to go through this and yet stay calm….mostly..apart from occasional pun-intended rants like this.

P.S. The day this agony stops though, people like me would lose 1/3rd of our ultrasound revenue. (I am a radiologist and handle plenty of dysmenorrhea crowd) How mean? Isn’t it?
