What it’s like to have a chronic invisible medical condition

I just got sunburnt in the middle of winter after taking a painstaking level of precautions because I went out for a team lunch and was dumb enough to sit facing a window. I had meticulously reapplied my sunscreen throughout the day, treated all exposed skin with a soothing moisturizer as soon as I reached the office (before I even felt the burn), drank ample water and even took an anti-inflammatory tablet just to be safe.
