Let It GO! – A Toastmasters Speech

I had a short stint as a Toastmasters Club Secretary. Though I loved the meetings, I soon realized that the secretary’s role took too much of my time and I dropped off Toastmasters after a single term, which is 6 months. Every now and then, I missed speaking in front of the lovely crowd and listening to people’s inspiring speeches.

All the world’s a stage

It is said that actions speak louder than words. In an ideal world, people’s actions would be in sync with what they speak. In an ideal world, people would act based on their intentions and conscience. Alas, we don’t live in an ideal world! Here, people speak what their audience wants to hear and act in a way that makes them appear good. There is often a disconnect between what they want to do and what they do, where their interests lie and where their actions take them, and how they wish to lead life and how they end up living.
